Our Workstations are Vista Ready!

When you buy a workstation from Electronics Nexus, you'll be assured that the combination of CPU, RAM and graphics that come with it will be fully compliant with the recommended minimum hardware requirements necessary to run Microsoft® Windows Vista.

Vista is the next generation operating system for desktop and workstation PCs that will eventually replace Windows XP. A new, 3-D interface and integrated desktop search capabilities mean that more hardware requirements are necessary to run Vista efficiently.

All of our Windows XP compatible workstations come with NVIDIA® graphics cards that are Essential Vista ready and will support the new "Aero Glass" 3-D user-interface.

All of our workstations come with at least the 512MB of RAM necessary to run Vista in its recommended configuration.

For instance, take a look at our top-selling ARMADA workstation. The minimum graphics configuration supplied with this machine is an nVidia 6200TC, approved for Vista "Aero Glass" 3-D Interface, although you can upgrade the graphics on this machine to a GeForce 7900GTX or a Quadro FX5500. All of these upgrades are Essential Vista ready and will support the Vista
"Aero Glass" interface fully. The ARMADA also comes with a base RAM configuration of 1GB, more than 512MB recommended minimum to run Vista.

So look out for the "Essential Vista" logos that appear on all our workstation pages. It's your assurance that when you buy today, you can be rest assured that your workstation will be in shape to switch over to Vista as soon as you're ready!
